The Opportunity
Innovate and Lead – Join our expanding team of senior water quality and hydrodynamic modellers and take the lead on complex, multi-disciplinary projects that shape environmental outcomes in the mining and natural resource sectors. This is your chance to drive innovation, mentor emerging talent, and influence large-scale operations with cutting-edge modelling strategies.
Your Impact
- Design and deliver advanced hydrodynamic and water quality models to assess environmental impacts for major mining developments.
- Provide strategic oversight and technical direction in developing and refining modelling tools and frameworks.
- Guide conceptual model development, data synthesis, and numerical modelling with a focus on scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with geochemists, hydrogeologists, and permitting specialists to deliver integrated environmental impact assessments.
- Author and review technical reports, proposals, and client presentations that drive clarity and strategic alignment.
- Represent WSP in client engagements, regulatory consultations, and industry forums, reinforcing our reputation as a global leader in environmental consulting.
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD preferred) in water quality modelling, environmental engineering, aquatic geochemistry, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in hydrodynamic and water quality modelling, with a strong portfolio of mining or large-scale resource projects.
- Proficiency in modelling software such as CE-QUAL-W2, Delft3D, MIKE, WASP, GoldSim, and CORMIX, with the ability to customize and optimize models for complex scenarios.
- Demonstrated leadership in project management, client relations, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Passion for innovation, sustainability, and mentoring the next generation of environmental professionals.

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $132,700 – $175,800
MB & ON: $121,100 – $166,700
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $119,900 – $159,200
