We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead multi family and mixed-use projects from early concept through approvals, design coordination, and pre-construction. This role offers the opportunity to guide meaningful residential development across Greater Victoria.
Responsibilities
• Manage full development lifecycle from feasibility through building permit
• Lead consultant teams across planning, architecture, engineering, and design
• Oversee rezoning, municipal approvals, permitting, and regulatory submissions
• Support proformas, financial modelling, and project budgeting
• Coordinate design development, value engineering, and constructability reviews
• Prepare project schedules, milestone tracking, and stakeholder updates
• Work closely with internal construction teams to ensure alignment between design intent and execution
• Support community engagement, external communications, and client-facing interactions
Requirements
• 4 to 7 years of development experience in multi family or mixed-use projects
• Strong understanding of municipal processes, zoning, approvals, and permitting
• Experience directing multidisciplinary consultant teams
• Ability to interpret drawings, reports, studies, and technical inputs
• Strong financial acumen and ability to support proforma analysis
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with project management software is an asset
Compensation
• Competitive salary based on experience, typically in the $100K to $130K range
